Want to hide certain personal information from our servers and user screenshots - such as identities or bank details?
This can be achieved in the privacy settings creating or editing your feedback button. If you head to the bottom of the feedback button setup page, click Advanced Settings then scroll to Advanced Privacy Settings you can add CSS selectors to mask specific information.
Depending on the information you wish to hide, you must select the relevant section to type in your selector. You have a choice of Elements, Text or Attributes. If you are unsure which section to choose, or how it will be modified, there is a description below.
Elements - Any element matching these selectors and all of it’s content will be replaced by black squares of comparable size
Text- Any text under this element will be replaced by random text of comparable length and rendered using an unreadable font
Attributes - Any element matching these selectors and it’s children will have certain attributes removed. The attributes removed are ‘title’, ‘href’, ‘src’, ‘rel’, and any attributes starting with ‘data-’ or ‘on’
If there is more than one area of information you need to mask in a section then click the plus symbol next to the box. This will reveal another box underneath so you can continue to add selectors. This will also activate minus symbols to delete any unwanted boxes.
Once you have completed filling in your CSS selectors click the green Save button at the bottom of the page.
