Custom labels can be created and applied to any feedback item. Custom labels are a great way to categorize and segment your feedback items. For example, you can create labels for bugs, ideas, feature suggestions, and so on.
Creating and adding labels
In order to create a new label, first, open the detailed view of the feedback item you would like to label. The detailed view of a feedback item can be opened by clicking on a feedback item in the "Feedback" section, found in the left menu under "Buttons & Forms".
In the detailed view of a feedback item, you're able to create new labels or add existing labels to your feedback item. Here you can choose from one of the labels that you already have created.
To add a label simply click on the drop-down menu in the label section and click on the labels that want to add. The labels that are shown in the drop-down are the labels that you have added to your account. If you want to add a label that has not yet been added to your GetFeedback Digital account, you'll need to add the label first in the "Manage Labels" section.
In the label drop-down menu, you'll also have the option to search for labels by clicking on the text-field named "Search here...". Generally, you'll want to limit the number of labels to not overcomplicate the labeling of your feedback items. However, if you do have quite some labels you'll be able to easily search for them using this option.
When you start typing you'll see the list of labels will be autocompleted in the drop-down with all the labels that are already created. A label will be added as soon as you hit the "Enter" key or click on the label itself in the drop-down list. Labels that you've added to a feedback items will be visible underneath the label text field. There is no limit on the number of labels that you can add, so feel free to add multiple labels if that fits your workflow for managing your feedback.
Deleting labels can be done in de "Detailed view" of each feedback item. When you hover your mouse cursor over a label. Hovering over the label will present you with a small "X". Clicking the "X" will remove the label from your feedback item. Keep in mind that the removing of the label is instant.
Removing a label from a feedback item will not delete the label itself from your GetFeedback Digital account. The label will therefore still show-up in the autocomplete. Removing labels from your GetFeedback Digital account is done in the Manage Labels section, which can be found in the Account Settings.
With automatic labeling you can easily identify feedback items that match certain keywords. Just define keywords and assign custom labels to feedback items that contain these keywords in the comments.
When creating your feedback button head to the bottom of the page and click advanced options to reveal the auto labeling section. If you have already created a button and want to add this feature, click the options menu on the setup page of your feedback button and select auto labeling.
- Type in the keyword you want to label
- this is the word the client will use in their feedback.
- Next, either select an existing label from the menu or type in a new one.
- You can add more than one label to a keyword.
- You can then choose whether to label your feedback to an exact match of the keyword or to any words that contain the keyword (i.e. 'bug' will be matched with 'buggy', 'bug-free' or 'bugged' etc.)
- Click the ‘add rule’ button to create multiple labels for the same button and click 'Save'.
