The first step in collecting user feedback with Usabilla is creating a feedback button. In this article, we will briefly explain how you can create your first Usabilla feedback button.
First, you need to go to the Setup page in the Buttons & Forms menu. You can find the Buttons and Forms menu on the right-hand side when you're logged in Usabilla on https://app.usabilla.com.
When you are on the Setup page you'll need to click on ‘Create new button’. You can find this button in the top-right corner of the page.
Here we’ll start with the basics; a name, color, and shape for your button. No worries, you can always change this later on.
You’ll also notice an area that says 'Custom Buttons'. This is where your custom designs will be available once they are created by our design team. For now, simply pick one of our default designs.
Next, you’ll see the attention grabber, security settings, and advanced settings. You can leave them on the default settings for now. We’ll come back to them later on.
Finally, click ‘Generate and install’ to create your button.
Your button is now created! On the next page, you’ll see the code which you can use to install your button and a preview of your new button.
If you click the preview of your new button, you’ll see that a feedback form is shown.
Please note that the preview button will only show if you selected a visible button and if your button is activated. The button can be activated directly from the button overview page.
Right now, our default form is shown. You can start to edit your feedback form by clicking on ‘Edit Form’. ‘Edit Button’ will take you back to the previous page where you can change your button settings, and ‘All buttons’ will bring you to the Setup page where you have an overview of all your buttons.
